The Carolina Sports Festival is set to take place on Saturday, September 28th, 2024, from 6am - 6pm at the Greenville Convention Center, showcasing an array of exciting competitions in wrestling, weightlifting, and powerlifting. The festival promises a thrilling day of athletic excellence with the NC Hall of Fame Wrestling Tournament, the ECU Open for Weightlifting, and Powerlifting America's Carolina Classic.
Schedule of Competitions:
USA Wrestling will begin at 10:00am
ECU Open Session 1 will begin at 9:00am
Powerlifting America Session 1 will begin at 9:00am
Owner and operator Ahonore Varner, a former ECU football player, shared his enthusiasm for the event, stating, "We are excited to bring the Carolina Sports Festival to Greenville, establishing its relevance in North Carolina. As a former ECU football player, it’s a personal joy to contribute to the community that has given me so much. We aim to make this an annual event, continuously adding more sports and days to the festival, turning it into a five-day celebration of sports and community. It's Family Weekend at ECU, and we invite everyone to come out and enjoy the festival before they start tailgating for the football game!"
