Summer of Pride
Greenville-Pitt County Summer of Pride 2024 is an event series created by our local LGBTQ+ community leaders and allies, with support from NAMI Pitt County and Visit Greenville, NC.
Summer of Pride aims to curate a centralized calendar of Pride events happening from June through August 2024, which showcase Greenville and Pitt County's vibrant and diverse queer community and our wonderful allies, make space for joy, and foster a sense of belonging for all.
Summer 2024 will serve as a pilot program, with the series being managed primarily by volunteers, so we may not be able to accommodate every request for an event to be included on the calendar, but encourage you to reach out to let us know about additional Pride events happening in our community and ways to be involved.
Join Us for the Paddock Memorial Sculpture Dedication
Join the Pitt County Arts Council at Emerge and community for the dedication and celebration of the “The Paddock Public Art Sculpture on Dickinson Avenue” on Saturday, June 29 from 4pm – 5pm at 1010 Dickinson Avenue (parking in Downtown Greenville is FREE!) by the Tenth Street Connector Overpass. For more than 30 years, the Paddock Club was the longest-operating establishment of it’s kind in the state, and the only safe haven for the LGBTQ+ community to socialize east of Raleigh. The Paddock Public Art Sculpture, is the original steel spiral staircase from the (since demolished) club that was saved by the owners, and creatively and beautifully given new life by North Carolina artist, Jessica Bradsher, to feature powder-coated steel ribbons representing the colors of the rainbow. Following the dedication, grab some dinner and drinks from a local Dickinson Avenue restaurant and join us for a Pop Up Paddock Club After Party featuring music and entertainment at The State Theatre from 7pm – until to relive some treasured memories! Get your tickets here!
